FIRST TIME HUNTER AT BARKSDALE?
The following information will help you get started. Hunting rights on Barksdale are limited to certain user groups. DoD personnel and their guests may participate in hunting, fishing, and other outdoor recreational activities on BAFB. DoD personnel are defined as active duty, retired, and reserve military personnel, DoD civilian employees, retired BAFB DoD civilian employees with 20 or more years of federal service who possess a DoD retired civilian identification card, and dependents of the aforementioned. For unescorted hunting privileges, DoD personnel including dependents over the age of 16, must attend the Barksdale Hunter Safety Course once prior to hunting on base. These courses are scheduled between August and January each year. Guests do not have unescorted privileges.
